Colours

How to pick your colours when ordering paints.

We have added a “Colour Details” text box on all products which has to be filled out before adding to cart. If you want straight white paint, just type in white. Have a favourite colour you want your paint tinted to? Just enter the brand and colour code into the field and we will tint your paint for you to that colour.

Where can I find colours?

The best method is to use a colour deck, or come into our store and check out our in-store specials while you browse our colour displays.

Want to pick colours online? You can, but keep in mind without calibration the colours you see will not match the actual colours of the paint as tinted. If you are fine with that, then you can check out some of the websites linked below for their colour selections and order using their brand, colour names and codes

Got your colours picked out?
There are a few things to keep in mind, When picking colours it is always best to pick colours from the brand of paint you are planning on using. For example picking a colour from Sico and having it tinted into a PPG paint may cause the colour to be slightly lighter or darker depending on the base paint. These differences are also visible when picking different lines of paint from within the same paint company.

Why am I telling you this? So you understand the difference between a direct tint and a colour match. While we have various methods to match a colour, including age old formulas for tried and true colours, computer generate colour matches and other various methods, you need to understand what you order isn’t always what you get with paint.
Therefore all tinting, unless it is a direct error on our part, is non-refundable.
This is nothing new in the paint industry, it is a standard problem with all paint stores.
But do not fret, just bring that paint back and we will fix the colour for you.
